icon3 Recall Summary:

Vehicle description: chassis cabs. On some of these vehicles, either or both of the two body pressure relief valves (prv) may not seal and could become inoperative during the life of the vehicle if the body installed on the vehicle does not protect the prv from road debris.

icon2 How to Fix:

Dealers will inspect the vehicle to ensure that the prvs are protected by the body of the vehicle. If the prvs are not protected by the body, the dealer will install new shielded prvs.

Gm recall no. 00092. Owner notification began April 12, 2001. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact Chevrolet at 1-800-222-1020 or GMC at 1-800-462-8782. Also contact the national highway traffic safety administration's auto safety hotline at 1-888-dash-2-dot (1-888-327-4236).
