Recall Summary:
On certain heavy duty class 8 trucks assembled by Volvo trucks, the transmission may go into forward gear without the driver first pressing down on the brake pedal.
How to Fix:
Dealers will install an additonal air operated stop light switch and necessary wiring changes. Owner notification began September 2003. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact autocar at 765-489-5499.
