This condition could cause a loss of front brake fluid pressure and damage to the brake hose, which could rupture causing front brake failure. This could result in a crash.

On certain motorcycles, the front brake hose can become trapped between the lower steering flange and the steering lock peg when the vehicle is cornering.

Dealers will install a retaining clip on the front brake hose. The recall is expected to begin during December 2004. Owners should contact ducati at 1-408-253-0499.
