icon3 Recall Summary:

On certain fire trucks built with detroit diesel series 60 egr engines, the battery to starter motor cable rubs against the hex-head plug on the fuel filter causing insulation damage and unintentional grounding.

icon2 How to Fix:

Dealers will replace the hex head plug on the fuel filter with a 3/8" allen-head plug free of charge. If the cable is damaged, it will be replaced. The recall began on April 1, 2005. Owners may contact e-one at 1-352-237-1122.
