Recall Summary:
On certain transit buses equipped with detroit diesel series 40 engines, the turbocharger compressor wheel and backplate can break allowing lubricating oil to spill onto the engine.
How to Fix:
Novabus in conjunction with detroit dieselwill inspect and replace the turbocharger, as necessary, to ensure that affected units have a boreless turbocharger compressor wheel and reinforced backplate and attachment installed (please see 04e051).
