North american bus industries, inc. Is recalling certain model year 2008 and 2009 transit buses manufactured between November 1, 2008 and September 12, 2009. The cable assembly that supplies power from the alternator to the batteries may have a defectively crimped terminal which could cause it to overheat when high current passes through the cable.

Nabi will notify owners and dealer will inspect and replace any defective cable assembly free of charge. The safety recall began on October 7, 2009. Owners may contact nabi customer service at 1-888-424-5844.
