Recall Summary:Paccar is recalling certain model year 2012 kenworth t660 tractors manufactured between April 18, 2011, and may 20, 2011, equipped with a safety latch attached to the hood strut which is designed to automatically engage when the hood is opened. If the hood strut were to separate, the safety latch may not engage.
How to Fix:Kenworth dealers will inspect the hood strut for the specific defective lot code and if the strut is within the lot code, the strut will be replaced. This service will be performed free of charge. The safety recall began on July 19, 2011. Owners may contact paccar at 1-425-468-7400.
