Triumph is recalling certain model year 2011-2012 sprint gt, tiger 800 and tiger 800 xc motorcycles manufactured from June 2010 through June 2011. The top box locking handle is missing a clip on the locking mechanism and thus it is possible that the top box may detach from the machine.

icon2 How to Fix:

Dealers will install a new fitment clip part to the top box locking handle spindle to align the rack and pinion mechanism to prevent disengagement. The safety recall began on September 2, 2011. Owners may contact triumph customer service department at 1-678-539-8782.
