Recall Summary:
Altec environmental products (aep) is recalling certain model year 2008-2009 dc1217 and dc1317 and model year 2008-2011 dc1317hp wood chippers. Cracks could develop in the wood chipper frame.
How to Fix:
Aep will notify owners, and dealers will install frame reinforcement kits to all affected units. The safety recall began on August 24, 2012. Owners may contact altec environmental products at 1-877-462-5832.
