Recall Summary:
Ford motor company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2015 Ford f-650 sd trucks manufactured may 12, 2014, to July 22, 2014 and Ford f-750 sd trucks manufactured may 12, 2014, to August 4, 2014. The cummins isb or isl engines in these vehicles may have been equipped with fleetguard uff-xt fuel filters, part number ff63009, whose filter shell may separate from the fuel filter nut plate causing the engine to stall without warning.
How to Fix:
Cummins will notify the owners of the affected Ford vehicles, and cummins service centers will replace the fuel filter with a non-defective one, free of charge. The recall began in September 2014. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 14v01. Owners may also contact cummins customer service at 1-800-223-4583.
