Altec industries inc. (altec) is recalling certain model year 2009-2012 novae sure-trac st81181tpl2-b-140 equipment trailers built August 31, 2009, to September 27, 2012, and manufactured with 3/16 inch thick steel tubing. The tongue of the affected trailers may crack and separate from the trailer frame.

Altec will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and repair any cracks found and add a reinforcing kit, free of charge. The recall begin on November 13, 2014. Owners may contact altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for the recall is csn 605.
