Failure of the driveshaft may leave the fire truck immobilized in traffic, increasing the risk of a crash. Additionally, the truck may not be able to respond to an emergency, increasing the chances of injury for those at risk.

Recall Summary:Kovatch mobile equipment corp. (kme) is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 predator ss pumper vehicles manufactured January 17, 2015, to July 21, 2015, and 2014-2016 fdny pumper vehicles manufactured may 21, 2014, to July 27, 2015. The affected vehicles may have replacement drive shafts that may twist and fail during use.
How to Fix:Kme has notified owners, and dealers replaced the drive shafts, free of charge. All affected vehicles have been remedied, free of charge. Owners may contact kme customer service at 1-800-235-3926.
