Recall Summary:
Forest river, inc. (forest river) is recalling certain 2007-2017 turtle top odyssey, odyssey xl, odyssey lt, terra transit, terra transport, terra transport xl, vanterra, vanterra xl, and vanterra XLT transit buses manufactured with one or more extra seats. When the vehicle is fully loaded with passengers, cargo and fuel, the vehicle may exceed the gross vehicle weight rating (gvwr). As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 cfr part 567, "certification. "
How to Fix:
Forest river will notify owners, and dealers will remove the additional seat(s), free of charge. An interim notice was sent to owners on October 26, 2017. Owners may contact forest river customer service at 1-800-296-2105. Forest river's number for this recall is 71-0507.
