Nissan north America, inc. (Nissan) is recalling 2017-2018 Infiniti qx30 vehicles. The driver's air bag may unexpectedly deploy due to insufficient grounding of the steering components if an electrostatic discharge occurs and the air bag clockspring is broken.

icon2 How to Fix:

Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will add sufficient grounding to the steering components, free of charge. Interim notices informing owners of the safety risk were mailed December 20, 2017. Owners will receive a second notice when remedy parts become available in spring 2018. Owners may contact Infiniti customer service at 1-800-622-6200, option 7.
