Recall Summary:
navistar, inc. (navistar) is recalling certain 2014 ic bus ce, 2019 ic bus ce, and 2022 ic bus ce school buses. these buses are not equipped with enough emergency exits. as such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard number 217, "bus emergency exits and window retention and release."
How to Fix:
dealers will install two additional emergency exit windows, free of charge. owner notification letters are expected to be mailed august 6, 2021. owners may contact navistar customer service at 1-800-448-7825. navistar's number for this recall is 21506.
