toyota motor engineering & manufacturing (toyota) is recalling certain 2023 subaru solterra and toyota bz4x vehicles. the hub bolts on the wheels may loosen, causing a wheel to detach from the vehicle after low-mileage use.

owners are advised not to drive their vehicles until they are repaired. the remedy is currently under development. letters notifying owners of the safety risk are expected to be mailed june 23, 2022. a second letter will be sent once the remedy is available. owners may contact toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331.
