Recall Summary:
daimler trucks north america llc (dtna) is recalling certain 2011-2021 thomas built saf-t liner hdx school buses. the forward seat barriers may not provide sufficient protection to passengers. as such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) number 222, "school bus passenger seating and crash protection."
How to Fix:
the remedy is currently under development. owner notification letters are expected to be mailed october 4, 2022. owners may contact dtna customer service at 1-800-547-0712. dtna's number for this recall is fl843. this recall replaces nhtsa recall 19v899.
