Possibility that plate to which shock absorber mounts are welded may crack atbottom, allowing mount to bend out of position. This could cause shockabsorber action to be impaired. If bending is severe enough on driver's sideshock absorber may come in contact with universal joint of steering column,preventing its full rotation, and resulting in loss of steering control. (correct by modifying plates where necessary. )
