Possibility of contact between the spare tire wheel and the vertical mountspare tire carrier could cause abrasion of the wheel disc section. Thisabrasion may result in a structurally weakened wheel subsequently beinginstalled in a road position. (correct by inspecting and installing spare tirecarrier that would preclude contact with the wheel).
