Recall Summary:
How to Fix:
Recall Notes:Ford campaign no 148. Heavy duty trucks. Possibility that the tandem rearhousing wall thickness at the journal radius adjacent to the spindle frictionweld joint may not be sufficient to insure a fatigue life equivalent to theexpected mileage life of the vehicle. Housing failure can result in the dualwheel assembly becoming disengaged from vehicle, resulting in a hazard to othertraffic. (correct by inspecting and replacing with housing of an increasedwall thickness design). Note this compaign has been superceded by campaign no. 75-0149. Dated 07/30/75.
