Recall Summary:

On the involved vehicles, the cab firewall can contact and eventually cut through the steering shaft.

How to Fix:

Dealer will inspect and, if necessary, modify the firewall to provide adequate clearance and replace the steering shaft, without charge.

Recall Notes:

Vehicle description: heavy truck tractors. System: steering; steering column. Consequences of defect: loss of steering control could occur without warning,resulting in a vehicle accident.
