On the involved vehicles a defect may exist in the accelerator linkage ball joints which could cause binding and may lock the accelerator control in a partially or fully open throttle position.

How to Fix:

Dealer will replace defective ball joints, free of charge.

Vehicle description: heavy trucks. System: throttle linkage;accelerator. Consequences of defect: this condition could cause loss of vehicle speedcontrol which could result in an accident.
