Recall Summary:
Under severe use, the "high hysteresis" rear rubber coupling of the drive shaft may develop fatigue resulting in transmission vibrations.
How to Fix:
The dealer will replace defective rear rubber coupling and flange with a modified version, without charge to owner.
Recall Notes:
Vehicle description: passenger vehicles. System: power train; transmission, driveshaft. Consequences of defect: if in this condition sustained high speeds aremaintained, the rubber coupling may disintegrate. This could lead to a vehicleaccident. Note: excessive vibration in the drive train components, followed by a loudclunking noise, may indicate that the defect is present.
