The wrong operational amplifier was installed in the controller on the involved vehicles. If a certain capacitor in the controller should fail, the brakes on the axle on which the controller is located would fail. The brake warning light which would normally indicate a malfunction, would also be inoperative.

The dealer will inspect and, if necessary, remove incorrect controller and install a new controller and wiring harness.

Vehicle description: trucks equipped with eaton anti-lock systems. System: service brakes; anti-lock system. Consequences of dwefect: loss of braking capability and a vehicle accidentcould result.
