The electronic ignition system sensor circuit contains a two wire connector which could cause difficulty in the engine ignition. This difficulty would be the result of mechanical or chemical action at the connector.

icon2 How to Fix:

Dealer will replace the two-wire connector with new type connections, free of charge.

Vehicle description: postal vehicles. System: electrical; ignition. Consequences of defect: engine stalling during vehicle operation could occurrepeatedly without prior warning. This would increase the potential for avehicle accident in the midst of traffic. Note: should stalling occur, the turn signal and hazard warning lights shouldbe used to guide the vehicle safely off the road. The engine should be ready torestart momentarily. Unplugging and cleaning the connector terminals shouldhelp the engine to restart.
