Recall Summary:
The involved vehicles were built with certain tractor protection valves which may contain an extra valve. This may prevent the trailer brakes from fully releasing after a low pressure application, causing the trailer brakes to drag.
How to Fix:
The dealer will inspect for the presence of the extra check valve. If found, the extra check valve will be removed. This will be done at no charge.

Vehicle description: truck tractor. System: service brakes; protection valves. Consequences of defect: overall braking efficiency and vehicle control may beimpaired. This could lead to a vehicle accident. Note: the only precaution drivers may take to reduce the risk of malfunctionprior to corrective action is to operate the vehicle bobtail.
