Some trucks with 36" or 63" sleeper boxes may have a problem in that the latch mechanism on the sleeper door may not be adjusted to specifications. This misadjustment could allow the door to vibrate, which could cause the latch to become so worn that it may come open, even under minor road vibrations.

Dealer will adjust sleeper door latch without charge to owner.

Vehicle description: heavy trucks. System: structure; door a ssembly, latches & locks. Consequences of defect: the door could open unexpectedly during vehicleoperation, and occupants could fall from the vehicle and be seriously injured.
