The cable actuating emergencey door release may not function properly due to a staked key in the collar of the emergency release cable. This condition may cause the release cable to bind if the "t" handle is rotated as it is being pulled.

icon2 How to Fix:

Both the front and rear emergency door release assemblies will be reworked to correct the problem.

Vehicle description: buses, transit. System: structure; door assembly, latches and locks. Consequences of defect: binding of the emergency release cable will prevent theemergency door release bar from operating. In an emergency passenger evacuationwould be hampered and personal injuries could result.
