The air conditioners on some vehicles contain blower motor resistors that may cause overheating of the housing material.

Dealer will replace blower motor resistors with thermally protected fuse-link resistors, without charge.

Vehicle description: passenger vehicle. System: air condtitioning; blower motor resistors. Consequences of defect: this could lead to a vehicle fire and personal injuryto passengers. Note: overheating and fire is most likely to occur while the vehicle is eitherstationary or moving and the blower switch is in either the low or medium one(1) position.
