Recall Summary:The headlamp motor could fail due to corrosion of the motor and limit switch assembly. Should the motor or the limit switch fail, the headlamp assembly could stick in either the up or down position.
How to Fix:Dealer will install an improved sealed limit switch or a new headlamp motor, if necessary, without charge to owner.
Recall Notes:Vehicle description: passenger vehicles. System: electrical; headlamp motor. Consequences of defect: should the headlamp switch become stuck in the downposition, decreased visibility during adverse weather or night drivingconditions could result in an accident. Note: if motor or limit switch failure occurs, the headlamp assembly can beraised or lowered manually by rotating the knob situated below the headlampmotor; the underhood label and owner"s handbook contain instructions for thisprocedure.
