If the clutch cable was forcefully pulled or pushed upon during the crating process at the factory, the clutch cable may have become dislodged from its cable retainer. It may contact the carburetor throttle shaft connector and prevent the throttle plates from returning to idle.

icon2 How to Fix:

Dealer will install an additional clutch cable retainer to prevent dislodgement at no cost to owner.

Vehicle description: motorcycles. System: power train; clutch assembly, linkage. Consequences of defect: as a result, vehicle may not decelerate properly whenaccelerator pedal is released. This could cause a loss of vehicle control andan accident. Note: if failure occurs, operator should activate the emergency "engine off"switch, and disengage the clutch, apply the brakes, and turn the ignition keyoff.
