Recall Summary:
On certain vehicles, the cruise control actuation chain could catch on certain carburetor hardware, causing the throttle plate to remain in a partially open position.
How to Fix:
Dealer will install a protective plate between the cruise control actuation chain and the throttle plate, without charge to owner.
Recall Notes:
Vehicle description: passenger vehicles. System: throttle linkages and control; cruise control, actuation chain. Consequences of defect: the throttle would remain open, even after theaccelerator pedal was released. This could result in loss of vehicle controland an accident.
