The engine compartment fuel line hoses installed on certain vehicles were fabricated from a defective rubber compound. When subjected to continuous high underhood temperatures, these hoses may become brittle and crack.

icon2 How to Fix:

The dealer will replace fuel supply and vapor return hoses with a type constructed of high temperature-resistant material.

Vehicle description: passenger vehicles. System: fuel; fuel line hose. Consequences of defect: a cracked hose would lead to fuel leakage in the enginearea which could result in a vehicle fire and personal injury to passengers.
