On certain vehicles, the joints used to attach a rear settee trim panel may not meet the 60 percent joint strength requirement of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 221, "school bus body joint strenght".
Additional fasteners will be added at the non-complying joints to ensure compliance with the applicable safety standard. This service will be performed without charge.

Consequences of defect: in the event on an accident, if the joints do not meetthe 60 percent joint strength as specified in the safety standard, thestructure could collapse, causing personal injury to passengers and, in extremecases death.
