Recall Summary:
Platform trailer hitches were produced from other than pure steel. Consequently, the hitch will not withstand normal stresses.
How to Fix:
The hitch platform assembly will be replaced on all involved vehicles.
Recall Notes:
Vehicle description: vans equipped with platform-type trailer hitches. System: equipment; trailer hitch torsion bar. Consequences of defect: trailer hitch torsion bar may break as the trailer isbeing towed. The trailer would separate from the towing vehicle, possiblyresulting in an accident and personal injury.
