Poor electrical connection at the fuel gauge transmitter may result in a stoppage of the fuel pump and engine stalling. In extreme cases, fuel vapor may leak from the fuel tank.

The fuel gauge transmitter will be inspected and replaced, if damaged.

Vehicle description: passenger vehicles with fuel injection. System: fuel; fuel pump. Consequences of defect: engine stalling or leaking fuel vapors could cause asafety hazard on the road, possibly resulting in an accident or personalinjury.
