Recall Summary:Plastic plug located on top of the front air conditioner was not removed during assembly. This defect disrupts normal operation of evaporator blower housing.
How to Fix:Rear a/c system blower will be inspected for damage such as melting or burning. If no damage is detected, the resistor will be replaced and any remaining pieces will be removed. If damage is detected, the resistor and the a/c evaporator inlet case will be replaced.
Recall Notes:Vehicle description: trucks (vans) equipped with front air conditioners. System: ventilation; air conditioner. Consequences of defect: engine fire could start without warning and cause firedamage to vehicle and injury to passengers.
