Recall Summary:A defective toggle switch may have been installed in the sleeper of some trucks. The problem may cause an intermittent short circuit, resulting from constant vibration of the vehicle which may cause the switch terminal to wear through the insulating material.
How to Fix:The dealer will inspect for the defect and, if necessary, install a toggle switch box to prevent a short circuit. This will be done free of charge.
Recall Notes:Vehicle description: heavy trucks. System: interior systems; sleeper and interior light switch. Consequences of defect: the short circuit may overheat the wires, resulting inheat damage to surrounding materials. Smoke hazard and possible fire couldcause injury to vehicle occupants.
