Recall Summary:
A forging defect is present in the dana semi trailer king pin which causes it to fail. Consequence of defect: king pin failure could cause loss of vehicle control without prior warning which could lead to a crash.
How to Fix:
Replace the front subframe which includes the king pin.
Recall Notes:
System: king pin bearing numbers w6 27333 or w6 27233. Vehicle description: van or flatbed commercial semitrailers with gvwr from20,000 to 70,000lbs.
