The parking brake drum attachment bolts may loosen and cause a driveline lockup condition when the bus is stopped or almost stopped.

icon2 How to Fix:

Remove all of the parking brake drum bolts, apply a retaining compound to new bolts, and torque the new bolts to specification.

System: transmission mounted parking brakes drum. Vehicle description: school buses equipped with hydraulic brakes (je3) andallison at545 automatic transmissions (mf1).
