The generator exhaust pipe, located at the rear roadside of the vehicle, can emit hot exhaust gases from a damaged, worn, defective, or improperly installed exhaust pipe, melting the adjacent polyethylene storage trunk.

Replace any defective generator exhaust pipes, repair holes in the polyethylene storage trunk, and install a heat shield between the generator exhaust pipe and the storage trunk.
