The seat back latch lever pivot rivets are susceptible to distortion. The distorted assemblies allow the seat back release latch lever to remain in the released position which is in non-compliance with fmvss no. 207, "seating systems. "

Dealers will replace the suspect seat back latch assembly with a revised assembly.
