Contact may occur between the windshield wiper motor and a huck bolt collar which causes a gear within the motor to fracture resulting in complete failure of the windshield wiper system.

icon2 How to Fix:

Dealers will remove and replace the windshield wiper motor and remove the huck bolt and replace it with a pull-type rivet.

System: visual systems; windshield wiper; motor. Vehicle description: medium duty non-sleeper cab trucks equipped with optional electric windshield wipers. Note: if your vehicle is presented to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and the remedy is not provided within a reasonable time and free of charge or the remedy does not correct the defect or noncompliance, please contact freightliner service center at 1-503-735-8000.
