A spring in the head lamp portion of the head park lamp switch can fail preventing latching of the head lamp portion of the switch in the "on" position.

Dealers will inspect head/park lamp switch build date codes and replace switches with suspect date codes.

System: lighting, switch, button; ring; headlights. Vehicle description: passenger cars. Note: if your vehicle is presented to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and the remedy is not provided within a reasonable time free of charge or the remedy does not correct the defect, please contact Oldsmobile service center at 1-800-442-6537.
