Both the supplemental inflatable restraint (sir) caution label and an engine start label were installed on the same side of the driver's sun visor. This does not comply with fmvss no. 208, "occupant crash protection. "

A new label, with installation instructions, will be sent directly to owners. Owners will install the label or can have their dealer install the label for them.

System: interior; passive restraint; air bag. Vehicle description: passenger vehicles equipped with5. 7l or 7. 4l gas engines,without upfit package, and having less than 8,600 lbs. Gross vehicle weight rating. Note: if the vehicle is presented to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and the remedy is not provided free of charge within a reasonable time, please contact Chevrolet at 1-800-222-1020, or GMC at 1-810-456-4547.
