Low torque can allow the attachment bolt to loosen and subsequently fatigue and break. This can result in separation of the left-hand control arm from the frame increasing the potential for a vehicle accident.

These vehicles were assembled with the left-hand lower control arm-to-frame rear nut not tightened to the specified torque.
Dealers will tighten the left-hand lower control arm-to- frame rear nut to the proper torque specification.
