An electrical short can occur in the auxilliary heater/airconditioning blower if exposed to water.

Dealers will remove and replace the relay with one that resists shorting if contacted by water and does not support combustion even if shorted.

Vehicle description:heavy duty trucks with sleeper cabs. Owner notification:owner notification is expected to be completed by October 18, 1996. Note:owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact freightliner at 1-503-735-8000.
