Vehicle description: heavy duty trucks, bus chassis-cowl, and basic chassis models equipped with cummins 5. 9l 160 horsepower rotary injection pump diesel engines. The accelerator return springs can fracture.

Dealers will replace these springs with a torsion spring design.

Owner notification is expected to begin September 30, 1997. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact Ford at 1-800-392-3673.
