Vehicle description: passenger vehicles. The steering column coupler can become disconnected when the vehicle experiences an underbody impact.

Dealers will replace the steering column coupler with a coupler design that collapses on impact.

Owner notification is expected to begin during November 1997. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact Chrysler at 1-800-992-1997.
