These vehicles do not meet the illumination requirements of fmvss no. 108, "lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment. "

icon2 How to Fix:

Owners will be provided with two new light bulbs for the stop/tail lamps which are brighter than the original bulbs. A label with the new bulb number will also be provided for insertion into the owner's manual. If an owner so desires, a dealers can install the light bulbs for them.

icon4 Recall Notes:

Owner notification is expected to begin by March 1998. Owners who do not receive the two new, free light bulbs within a reasonable time should contact Nissan at 1-800-647-7261. Also contact the national highway traffic safety administration's auto safety hotline at 1-888-dash-2-dot (1-888-327-4236).
